Hnmmm.
I'm still deciding if I'll get on the train tomorrow to see my parents, but I've been thinking about something else now.
See, uh, I know this... person. They haven't wanted me to say who they are-- cause that's how they are. I'm not questioning it really.
But ever since I've really gotten to be around them more often than a few times a year, I've realized they basically only have two settings: extremely over-emotional, or not really emotional at all.
I also think I've never actually seen them smile the entire time so far that I've known them.
Is this normal?

At least I'm not being weird for thinking it's off...

But do they show that they care?

That's hard to determine. They like... things, but I dunno if that counts as "care" when you like something.
I mean, I guess they care about their roommate, but they've made it clear they also don't like things changing. So it might just be a rut thing.

Depending on who and what they are and what tragic backstory fuels them it may be super normal which is hard to tell if there is baseline here?

It's just... it's something I really only just noticed with how they act, I guess. It wasn't really obvious when I was only visiting them at certain points in the year, so it's kinda shocking.

Is... perhaps is not much to be smiling about in their life? Or they think?
no subject
Ever?

Huh.
I do not know then? Maybe they do not smile then, which now I agree, is very strange. Have tried knock knock jokes?
no subject
That's their only reaction to most things.

Perhaps I will help! There are many ways to make people smile, and I know all.
OH! Sorry. Did not introduce self, I am Trendafilka Adelina Cardozo.

Re: [Private Thread]
... Kinda, yeah. I've never really seen you express anything, you know.
I mean, you get flustered and frustrated a lot, but you've never really been angry, have you?
Re: [Private Thread]
Though maybe that's your point, I dunno. You don't need to sic some hyperactive girl on me though.
Re: [Private Thread]
Re: [Private Thread]
So are you going to go back home for Christmas, or will it be New Year instead?
Re: [Private Thread]
Re: [Private Thread]
Oh, and yeah. I guess it is kinda bothersome having you be all vague secret about knowing me, so.
I'm relenting. You can tell folks if you gotta that you're related to me.
Re: [Private Thread]
I mean, awesome, but what changed your mind about it?
Re: [Private Thread]
But that doesn't mean I expect you to announce it or anything. This is just a "your friends" thing or "someone asks specifically" thing.
Re: [Private Thread]
Uh... thanks though. I didn't... Actually expect you to ease up on that.
Re: [Private Thread]
Make sure you message ahead when you're about to come up.

It's common though.
